The MR340 is a 340-mile nonstop race down the Missouri River, from Kansas City to St. Charles, with an 88-hour cutoff. In July 2024 I paddled it solo.

- Official time 62:58:17, which is 339 river miles at an average of 5.4 mph
- 132nd overall and 42nd in men’s solo, with no penalties
The training shows up on the YouTube channel I made getting ready for this race, Spirit of Rocheport: scouting stretches of the Lamine and Missouri Rivers and the conservation areas around Rocheport, most titles counting down the days to the start. In 2025 and 2026 I was on the other side of the race, volunteering with Missouri River Relief, the river cleanup and education group that works alongside the event.
