Latchon was my first real web gig, building sites for small businesses in Fayetteville while I was still at Fort Bragg. This is the company’s own site from 2001. FrontPage, tables, a JavaScript login, and yes, an “Ask Roman” box. I also set up a web branding deal with xDrive.com, an early online file-storage service.
The box reads: “Have a computer question and no answer? Why not ask Roman. COMING SOON!”
Later captures of latchon.com (2010, “LATCHON PRODUCTIONS,” a full-page Flash site; 2013, “Latch-on Productions,” rebuilt in PHP/jQuery) show a different business using the same domain, with no on-page link back to me. I left them in with the snapshots, but I can’t say who built them.
