SportalZone was our sports pool site. Ken Schriever and I started it at INO, and when we closed INO in 2007 it moved over to Surreal Technology LLC, the company Ken and I owned together. It ran until 2022. It was office pools, mostly football: weekly pick pools, survivor pools, a playoff pool, and later NCAA brackets. Ken signed most of the weekly updates.
My name isn’t on any version of the site. The proof I was part of it is the company that owned it: the Missouri state record for Surreal Technology LLC (file LC0851314) lists me as an organizer.
The first capture, from December 2, 2007, is week 13 of the NFL season: a short update (“I am hangin my hopes on the Eagles with a win at home”) above two pools of picks laid out week by week. The footer still says Intelligent Network Outfitters, LLC, and it kept saying that for years. By January 2014 the site was still on DotNetNuke but had added a Playoff Pool, Latest Odds and an NFL Injury Report, plus a banner calling it “Your Home for Office Pools” for NFL, MLB, NHL and NCAA, with an Android app “coming soon.” It had 284 members. By June 2019 it had moved to WordPress on the EmpowerWP theme, with a front page offering a Long Running Pool and an NCAA pool. The May 2022 capture has the tagline “Sports Pools Made Great” and three pools: NCAA brackets, a survivor pool, and an NFL playoff pool with randomly drawn positions scored through the Super Bowl.
