Surreal Technology LLC

Years
2007–2022
Role
Co-owner with Ken Schriever; organizer of the LLC
Built with
DotNetNuke (2007–2013); later a blank WordPress install

In 2007 Ken Schriever and I closed INO and started Surreal Technology LLC. We filed it with the State of Missouri on October 25, 2007, and we owned it together. The website called it Surreal IT. It wasn’t our first company together, either: in 2004 Erman Ramos, Ken and I started REK Worldwide Inc., named for our initials, to work on sports data tracking for personal fitness.

Surreal picked up where INO left off: IT consulting, networking and some web work for small businesses. It also owned our sports pool site, SportalZone, which ran until 2022. My name isn’t on the Surreal site. The Missouri state record for the LLC (file LC0851314) lists me as an organizer. The company has since been cancelled.

The December 2007 home page ran on DotNetNuke, same as the last version of the INO site. It pitched IT consulting and wireless networking, and its “Web Projects” box listed three sites: a content management conversion for Rockhil Mechanical, a portfolio site for Pansing | Nolan | Matlock, Ltd., and Brokervine, a site that helped mortgage brokers find loan programs. By December 2013 the site had a new DotNetNuke skin with menus for Dot NET, FAQ and Portal Sign Up, and the footer read “Copyright 2008 Surrealit LLC.” By 2015 the domain held a blank WordPress install with nothing on it but the default “Hello world!” post.
